As President of Well Trend, one of the largest and most reputable immigration companies in China, Larry Wang has earned the role of the unofficial ambassador and spokesman for the immigration consulting industry in China.
Being the face and voice of Chinese immigration agencies, Wang has often been approached for this opinion on immigration issues by all major media outlets, including China’s national network, CCTV (China Central Television), BTV (Beijing Television), CNN, and Bloomberg Businessweek, to name a few.
Born on Sept. 30, 1957 in China and now a naturalized Canadian citizen, Wang was part of the historic first class of students to enter university in the post-Cultural Revolution era. Whereas previously, students gained admission through their ideological beliefs and party connections, in this new era, students like Wan gained admission on academic merit, with fewer than 1% of all applicants being successful. Graduates of this first class of students reads like a who’s who list of influential people in today’s China.
Wang graduated from the Beijing Institute of Civil Engineering & Architecture in 1982 with a Bachelor of Engineering and subsequently worked as an Engineer for the Ministry of Construction. In 1989, Wang entered the University of new Brunswick in Canada and earned his graduate degree in Engineering. Following graduation, Wang worked in China and Canada and then returned to China again in 1994 to establish Well Trend.
Wang founded a company started with two employees and in the span of 19 years has developed it into a company with over 400 employees in offices in 10 major cities all over China. As well, Wang has cultivated a network of partners all around the world to ensure that wherever a Well Trend client relocates, Well Trend’s brand of customer service is available.
